proverbs 30.

‘“Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.’ Proverbs 30: 24-28

i find this kind of cool how the Bible already states how incredible the creatures are, and somehow i didn’t know that ants can carry things way heavier than itself until i was in third grade. this just proves how God really did create these things, and how he knows them all pretty much one by one.

and really, if he knows so much about these animals, how much more would he know about you, a human being. let’s be honest here, we’re obviously way more interesting than an ant, and God really wants us to know him more so he could know you more through yourself. (he doesn’t really need to know you, because he made you, so technically he already knows you. but he wants you to open up to him, and be comfortable around him).

but this passage also  makes me feel just a bit guilty.

we’re put here on earth to take care and possibly enjoy the things God has given us, and they’re not necessarily materialistic technological things, but normal things like animals. and all i do is sit in front of the computer and watch friends (which is an amazing show by the way).

what God wants us to do, is go outside and enjoy the weather and the slimy snails. take care of the environment, go green!

so maybe this is a wake up call for us,  to really appreciate what God’s given to us through nature.
