proverbs 9.

i do not know how i should feel about this chapter. there are verses that i find kind of mean… maybe it’s just me. there’s this part where it kind of disses women a little, i’m not sure if it’s dissing women in general, or just a person named Folly.

i have no idea what or who Folly is, and if it’s really a person, she should be offended.

“The woman Folly is loud; she is undisciplined and without knowledge. She sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city, calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way. “Let all who are simple come in here!” she says to those who lack judgment.“Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious! But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave.” Proverbs 9:13-18

if it’s not talking about a specific woman… it does sound a bit offending. but if it is… this woman’s got to get herself together.

i think this is going to be one of the few times where i’m going to be really confused about what the verses are actually about.

so maybe a little help?
